Online or offline – that is the question. However, there are numerous reasons that speak for a reputable dating agency.
The Internet is ubiquitous and is used as a matter of course for all sorts of purposes without any thought. Millions of people are searching online for great happiness in love. This means there are no financial surprises when looking for true love,” he describes the approach PV-Exklusiv.
While online portals use a mostly top secret algorithm that evaluates users' answers to a more or less extensive questionnaire and calculates who might suit whom. The matching odds created in this way determine how close the match between two singles is. “Doubts are definitely justified,” points out Markus Poniewas. A reputable dating agency can more accurately bring together two people who really suit each other due to the personal contact with single people, their many years of experience and know-how. “In personal conversations, we gain impressions that no questionnaire or algorithm can reproduce, no matter how sophisticated and scientifically tested it may be. Machines may be superior to humans in many areas, but they are not when it comes to finding a partner.”
Love is a matter of the heart and therefore very personal. It cannot be calculated, even if it is often claimed. “What machines cannot do is that experienced matchmakers provide additional information if they notice points in a personal conversation that stand in the way of or hinder the search for a partner. This brings the singles a lot further and offers them the chance to initially work on themselves, for example with coaching.”
Markus Poniewas sees another advantage of dating agencies in their discretion. “Especially high-ranking singles who are successful in their careers and who may still be in the public eye don’t want to immediately tell the whole world that they are looking for a partner. They don't want to express themselves, their ideas and wishes on the Internet, after all, their profile could be found by employees, friends or family." For these people, a reputable, discreet and personal dating agency is the best choice.
