Studies show that the emotional benefits aren't automatically mutual. A study by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (2020) shows that women who have younger partners are above average in their satisfaction – their self-esteem increases, and their outlook on life is more positive. However, a different picture emerges for men who are with older women. Their relationship satisfaction often remains below average – even in the long term.
